ORDER RESTRICTING DISCLOSURES
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT:
1. Except in the course of court proceedings open to the public, no person shall make a disclosure unless the disclosure is made under circumstances designed by the person to assure that the disclosure will not be disseminated to the public; and
2. As used herein, the term "person" is limited to each person who is:
a. An attorney for either party to this action or a superior, associate,
colleague, subordinate or agent of such attorney or the attorney's office,
firm or agency; or,
b. An officer or employee of a governmental entity engaged in law enforcement in Mendocino County; or, c. Aware that the person is a prospective witness at the trial of this proceeding or is one who has testified in this proceeding or in a grand jury proceeding investigating any of the charges made in this proceeding; or, d. A party to this proceeding; or, e. A member of the staff of this court. |
3. As used herein, the term "disclosure" is limited to the provision of information or opinion concerning any person or matter involved in this proceeding, including:
a. A purported statement made by any person; and
b. The testimony, whether heretofore given or hereafter anticipated, of any individual; and c. A purported document, photograph, re-cording, exhibit or other object; and d. Evidence available to either party to this proceeding; but excluding e. Any event, conduct or activity occurring during the course of court proceedings open to the public. |
4. The order made herein ("Ruling on People's Motion for Protective Order") March 20, 1996, restricting the making of certain statements about this case, is rescinded in its entirety.
